What Can I Expect in PT?

During your initial visit, we want you to share any discomfort, symptoms, health concerns, past medical history, and any health goals you might have with your therapist. We will perform a musculoskeletal examination to evaluate your signs and symptoms. If needed, and upon your consent, we can evaluate your pelvic floor. This examination guides our determination of high or low muscle tone, connective tissue restrictions, symmetry or asymmetry of the pelvic floor, issues with hypersensitivity, and the musculoskeletal integrity of the pelvic floor. Using the information gained from this initial appointment, we will map a plan of care specifically for you. We welcome any questions or concerns you may have. Your health is our primary focus. We strive to provide every woman in our care with the health, fitness, and therapeutic expertise she needs to enjoy her life.
